On April 26, the 4th China (Anhui) Science and Technology Innovation Achievements Transformation Fair (China Science and Technology Fair) opened at the Hefei Binhu International Convention and Exhibition Center and will last until April 28.

This Science and Technology Fair is hosted by the Anhui Provincial People's Government. It is a national-level scientific and technological achievements transformation and trading event approved by the Party Central Committee and the State Council. It has been successfully held three times since 2021, with a total of 780 scientific and technological achievement projects signed, with a total amount of nearly 230 billion yuan. With the theme of "Science and technology taking the lead, innovation to win the future", this year's conference focuses on the key industrial fields of the "15th Five-Year Plan" and builds five major docking service platforms for achievements, technology, finance, talents and investment.
There was an endless stream of visitors to the exhibition hall on the first day.
On the first day of the opening, the darkroom immersion experience area built by Shenbi Biology in the exhibition hall became one of the most crowded areas. We have created a separate space for self-luminous plants that is isolated from external light sources. After entering, visitors need to adapt to the darkness for a short time, and then they will see the soft light that the plants continue to emit from stems to leaf veins. This experience allows visitors to directly observe the true luminous properties of self-luminous plants.
The experience queue began to form after the museum opened in the morning, and the queue has always been maintained. Government leaders, media reporters, experts and business representatives from various industries such as cultural tourism, education, and health care entered the darkroom one after another. Some visitors asked the staff for technical details on the spot after walking out of the darkroom, and some talked with our R&D and marketing teams in front of the booth for more than half an hour. There was always a high density of communication around the booth, with almost no interruptions in the exchange of business cards and WeChat messages.
A person in charge of a company from Zhejiang's cultural and tourism industry said after experiencing it that he had read relevant reports before, but seeing the real thing with his own eyes was still different. "This light does not have the visual sense of artificial light sources, but is emitted by the plants themselves. It is very soft and can really make a difference when used in a night tour environment." The founder of a research institution learned about Shenbi Bio's standardized research system with luminescent plants as the core in front of the booth, and decided to incorporate it into the life science curriculum for primary and secondary school students that is being designed.“This allows students to experience the charm of cutting-edge science firsthand.”
Three major directions once again obtained cross-industry verification
During the exchange on the first day of the opening, professional audiences from different fields focused their attention on self-luminous plants in three directions:Cultural tourism night tour, science and technology research and health therapy。
This echoes the feedback given at the annual meeting of the Zhongguancun Forum more than a month ago. On March 25, the Shenbi bioluminescent plant made its first appearance at the Zhongguancun Forum in the form of an exclusive experience area. It was opened simultaneously in two experience areas, the "Technology Meditation Space" of the National Innovation Center and the "Healing Space" of the News Center. Among the visitors at that time, there were landscape designers from Shanghai who were looking for “things that can create a differentiated night tour experience”, a psychological counselor from Beijing who believed that the light of luminous plants “has warmth but is not disturbing”, and a CEO from a German biotechnology group who took the initiative to inquire about possible cooperation in the European market.
On the first day of this Science and Technology Fair, similar voices came again from different channels. In the direction of cultural tourism night tourism, many scenic spot operators and cultural tourism planning agencies have shown clear interest in the application of luminous plants in night landscapes. In the direction of scientific and technological research, the focus of educational institutions and research bases is mainly on the unique advantages of luminescent plants as teaching carriers. In the direction of health and healing, wellness institutions and design studios have proposed multiple specific scenarios, including meditation spaces, psychological consultation rooms, high-end hotel rooms, and public areas of wellness communities.

Compared with the appearance at the Zhongguancun Forum in March, there is an obvious change in the participation in this science and technology fair: the feedback from the market side is more specific.
At the annual meeting of the Zhongguancun Forum, self-luminous plants were viewed more as a technological breakthrough worthy of attention, and visitors' reactions tended to be "shocked" and "first time seeing it." When we arrived at the Science and Technology Fair, although it had only been more than a month since the Zhongguancun Forum, the visitors’ questions were obviously more geared towards industrialization: some were asking about the capacity for large-scale supply, some were discussing specific project implementation cycles, and some began to calculate the cost structure on site.
